The Nudge Foundation
The Nudge Foundation was founded by Atul Satija in July, 2015. The company is a Bangalore-based organization that works to improve the poverty line on a scale. The foundation works on two fronts, the gurukuls - a residential school of learning for the underprivileged and N/Core.
Funding
The foundation received a grant of $250,000 from Rockefeller Foundation and a seed-grant of $200,000 from the CEO of Infosys, Nandan Nilekani.
The foundation received additional contributions of $75,000 from InMobi, $40,000 from Paytm and $50,000 from Great Wall Club.
Achievements
On 15th of August 2015, the foundation launched India’s first Hackathon for social cause named FreedomHack’15.
They launched their first Learnathon at their Gurukul campus, Whitefield, Bangalore.
N/Core
In January 2016, the foundation launched N/Core (2)(12)(13), an incubator program for non-profit startups that works to improve the poverty line. (4) The incubator provides a grant of 1 million INR in addition to mentorship by professional industrialists.
N/Core launched N/Core Alpha, its first 14-day incubation program.
