The Mystic Travelogues
The Mystic Travelogues is a series of fantasy novels by J.C. Nusbaum. The first book in the series (also titled The Mystic Travelogues) was published in 2011. The second book, A Secret Passage to Noland will be published in the summer of 2013. The series follows the coming-of-age of two cousins, Henry "Tug" White and Jodie White, as they journey through foreign lands that have a markedly mystical flavor.
The story involves fantasy elements such as Gnomes and toys coming to life, and alludes to a broad range of mystic ideas, such as alchemy and the tarot, and psychic phenomena such as shadow and high-sense perception.
Nusbaum's publisher has primarily marketed the series to middle grade and young adult readers, but Nusbaum also intended to speak to adults.
