The Man (2008 film)
The Man is an upcoming 2009 Bollywood film directed by Sunny Deol and Neeraj Pathak. The film, which is produced by Dharmendra under the banner of Vijayta Films, stars Sunny Deol himself in the lead along with Shilpa Shetty, whilst Kashmira Shah, Udita Goswami, Harsh Chhaya, Suresh Menon among others play supporting or cameo roles. The film, which is in making for the past 2 years, is expected to release in 2009.

Production
In July, 2007, after Sunny Deol's Bollywood film Apne was released and was well received and got critical acclaim, Deol decided to take on and direct this project, after the subject of which was narrated to him by Neeraj Pathak, the screenwriter of Apne, who is co-directing the film, and he was immediately impressed of it.
Shilpa Shetty, who had starred in Deol's previous venture Apne as well, was finalized as the female lead. After two special cameo appearances in the films Om Shanti Om and Dostana, this is going to be her first full-fleged role as an actress, after Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. The film is said to depict Shilpa Shetty's real life and her "transformation as a star", which includes her contest on the "Big Brother" show.
The film has been in making for nearly 2 years and is still in its production stage, but expected to get released in 2009 finally.
