AbOUT the Mirror
Origins
The Mirror came about from a three-part series, "A World of Hurt" published by The Mississauga News. Implying that its diversity is its own downfall, it painted an image that Malton was run-down, dangerous, crime-prone, and polluted. It was a place of unsophistication and blue-collar immigrants. A few Malton residents, politicians ( Councillor Adams, Dr. Kuldip Kular MPP, & Gurbax Malhi MP) and community organizations like Malton Neighbourhood Services came together to publish the Mirror's first issue on September/November 2009.
