The last delivery

"The Last Delivery" is a short story written by Nick Vincent. It is AbOUT a

delivery man named Phil who lives in New York City and is instructed to deliver a package to an elderly woman in Poughkeepsie. Phil reluctanty agrees to deliver the package in person considering its Christmas Eve and wants to prove to his wife that he can "put family before work" but his boss says if he does not deliver it in person he will fire him. Phil drives up to Poughkeepsie and finds out the elderly woman is isnt at home but at the town cemetary "waiting for him" Phil drives to the cemetary and finds the woman there, she tells him this is his "last delivery" for a long time. She forces Phil to open her package where he finds a small note that reads "bye bye" the lady then strikes Phil in his bad right leg with a railroad hammer and pulls her head from her body revealing an insect like head that looks like a wasp. Phil then is sucked under the ground into an "endless dark abyss" where he is never to be seen again.
