The Flowers Family
The Flowers Family is a bluegrass group consisting of six band members, including, Alana, 18 who has played the banjo for over nine years, and is the group's lead singer. Her sister, Hannah, 12, plays the fiddle and sings harmony vocals. Dillon, their brother, is 8 years old, and plays the mandolin. The three other members, are teachers and friends, who include, Donnie Little, Alana's teacher, who is a representative for Yates Banjos, and has played the banjo for over 40 years. Joel Little, is Hannah's teacher, and has played the fiddle for over 45 years, and finally, Phil Bentley, who is the group's bassist. The Flowers Family has won numerous awards, including best banjo, best fiddle, best vocals, and best band. They have also opened for several well-known artists, including, The Primitive Quartet, The Crabb Family, and "Rhonda Vincent and the Rage".

They will also be appearing on ETV's Bluegrass Express on July 26th, and people will be able to watch it if they have satellite television. The Flowers Family will be appearing on August 4th on tv. Not to mention them playing at Merlefest in 2006 and 2007, they opened for Entertainer of the year, Cherryholmes, at Merlefest this past year.
