The Boaz Philharmonic
The Boaz Philharmonic is a Columbus, Ohio-based rock duo with a comedic slant formed in 1999 by Bunny Poe and Zach Keith.
==Biography== Launched in the late 90's as a one-off collaboration between electronic musician Zach Keith and antifolk performer J. Bunny Poe, The Boaz Philharmonic quickly became The Primary creative focus of the involved parties. Their recordings are built on a complex mythology set in the group's supposed base of operations, Eros City.
Their 2001 home-recorded debut, Lambz Of The Hard Miracle, garnered minor recognition and college radio airplay despite being criticized for its amateur production quality and liberal use of in-jokes. This was followed by 2002's Bring The Fimbulvetr, a mini-album of rarities and live performances. Bring The Fumbulvetr was the last work recorded under the guidance of svengali Roderick James Lampey before his death in April of 2003.
Billed as the true sequel to Lambz Of The Hard Miracle, 2004's BP:990227543317 detailed Bunny and Zach's travels to the years 2027, 2054, and 3317 AD in an attempt to understand their impact on the Eros City of the future. A more elaborate effort than previous outings, BP:990227543317 served as one part traditional rock album, one part radio drama, with numerous character monologues and interactions punctuating MusicAL tracks.
The Boaz Philharmonic disbanded in November of 2006 while preparing an EP of new material, titled "The Connubinomicon." Bunny Poe is currently working as a solo artist while Zach Keith performs with the instrumental act Turbonix.
