The Amorous
The Amorous is a band from Phoenix, Arizona consisting of Josh Montgomery (Vocals), Cameron Montgomery (Guitar), Mitchell Orr (Guitar), and Eric Guzman (Bass) ([www.myspace.com/theamorous]).
History
The Amorous began in February of 2008 when original drummer Michael Divine decided that he wanted to start a band that would mostly strive to put smiles on the FACES of listeners. After a couple of initial member changes and local shows, the band released their first EP entitled "All AbOUT Love", which was actually recorded, mixed, and mastered by future band member Mitchell Orr. The EP was released on June 30th, 2008.
On March 10th, 2009, The Amorous released their second EP, entitled "The Brand New Dance". The EP was produced by Matt Grabe (The Maine, The Summer Set, A Rocket To The Moon). Around this time, the band added Cameron Montgomery, and finally settled on the current, permanent lineup.
The band features some acoustic videos of the songs off The Brand New Dance EP on their myspace page.
The Amorous has been playing a new song live entitled "Feel Big" . The band announced on a Stickam video chat and a video on their myspace page that they are heading into the studio to begin working on a new EP which will feature this song.
The band has played with bands such as The Summer Set, Anarbor, We Shot The Moon, Brighten, Sherwood, This Century, This Providence, and Ace Enders & A Million Different People
