Tharani Rao
Reddy Tharani Rao, popular in the Telugu Film Industry as Tharani Rao garu, has been involved with film making since 1976. He is ACTIVE today as a popular co-director for big budget movies having big star cast and huge expenses. As a co-director he also helps movies where the crew is young and not much experienced, helping them with the intricacies of film making and the film industry.
Biography
Tharani Rao was born in a Telugu family on the 16th of January 1952 in Berhampur, Orissa. The family moved to Chennai when he was still in infancy. He studied in Kesari High School which gave the movie industry several important personalities such as Allu Arvind and Ravi Raja Pinisetty. Tharani Rao took to movies in the direction department in 1976. Over the years he has worked with south Indian movie stalwarts such as KSR Das, SA Chandrasekhar, B Gopal, Krishna, Rajnikanth, ANR, and Chiranjeevi among others. He was worked with major production houses such as Annapurna Studios, Geeta Arts, Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vaishno Academy and Larsco Entertainment etc.
