Texas Steakhouse & Saloon is a CASUAL dining chain restaurant owned by Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Inc. It is based in Rocky Mount, North Carolinaand headed by Terrence Smith.
History
The first Texas Steakhouse & Saloon restaurant was opened by Boddie-Noell Enterprises in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1989. In 1994, BNE formed the Texas Steak, Ltd. corporation and through it purchased all rights associated with Texas Steakhouse & Saloon. BNE then partnered with Line Management and began opening Texas Steakhouse & Saloon locations in North Carolina. In 2001, Texas Steakhouse & Saloon came under the sole management of BNE. The company currently operates 29 restaurants, all located in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.
Cuisine
Texas Steakhouse & Saloon serves Texas-style cuisine, notably steaks, ribs and seafood which are prepared over live mesquite grills. The Texas Steakhouse menu also includes burgers, salads and classic southern-style foods such as chicken-fried steak.
All Texas Steakhouse steaks are USDA Choice grade and aged for a minimum of 21 days.
