II. Major Works
Below is a published poem by this author, circa 1924:

"They Mark Their Tallies
In the darkened alleys Shady figures lurk They mark their tallies Begin their work
Shady figures lurk With A Plan all their own Begin their work Aye, they do not stand alone
With a plan all their own They descend down the stairs Begin their work Save the Devil none care
They descend down the stairs And revealing the bottle Save the Devil none care Snitching fellows be throttled
And revealing the bottle The absinthe flows green Snitching fellows be throttled Who here knows the fiend?
The absinthe flows green The policemen’s’ smoke, blue Who here knows the fiend? We’re discovered its true
The policemen’s smoke blue Begin their work Discovered, it’s true Shady Figures lurk" Printed with permission from Context Publishing [Citation needed]
