Taylor Humphries

Taylor Humphries (born March 27, 1976) is a American actor, writer, and producer.

Personal life

Humphries was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Los Angeles and DC. Taylor graduated from Beverly Hills High and received his BFA in Theatre/Film Production from Hampton University in Virginia.

Out of high school he was heavily recruited by San Diego State, Michigan, Penn State, Colorado, Colorado State, Oregon State and Illinois.

Humphries ended up a starting wide receiver for the Hampton Pirates Football Team. Having helped the Pirates win 2 Conference Championships, an SBN Championship and 2 Post-Season appearances, Humphries concurrently starred in a World Premiere Play and picked up where Paul Robeson left off, starring in the title role of The Emperor Jones, known famously to his fellow Hampton Players as "EJ"! Humphries tried out for several NFL teams and was given the option of traveling over-seas to play, but ultimately chose his hometown of Los Angeles to start working in the industry he grew up in. His first appearance on TV, was as a Petty Officer on the CBS hit-drama JAG.

Career

He is working with Spiderman creator Stan Lee and his POW! Entertainment on an upcoming project. Taylor has written and produced on TV shows such as SportScience formerly on FOX Sports now airing on ESPN, The Locator on WE and was a recurring guest star on JAG on CBS.

He has appeared as an actor in commercials including Michelob Light Arco-AM/PM Home Depot and an anti-smoking ad for Philip Morris among many others.
