Tau Alpha Omega Freeman Frat/Sor
History
Founding
'Tau Alpha OmegaWas FoundedSeptember 21, 1970at Central Mindanao University and expanded their chapters at Universities and Colleges in Luzon Visayas and Mindanao. Before it became Tau Alpha Omega, its name was Free Student Society, when it was founded in the 1960's or Society of Students who Assert Freedom or "Scholasticus Adserto Sodalicium". Then it became Tau Alpha Omega Fraternity and Sorority wherein its members are known asFREEMAN'. Because its constitution and bylaws are similar to that of fraternity and sorority, it was amended in the 1970 constitution and by laws of the FFS to use the three Greek letters "TAΩ".
Objectives
ARTICLE II Section 1 - 7
The Tau Alpha Omega possesses seven objectives. Each of the objectives represents each letter in the word FREEMAN based on its ARTICLE II Section 1 - 7 in its Constitution and By Laws.
- To Arouse the FELLOWSHIP and Pursuant to the objectives of Brotherhood and Sisterhood.
- To make more dignified and responsible man and woman in the community in the essence of RIGTHEOUSNESS.
- To promote general welfare through the blessing of EQUALITY and LIBERTY.
- To promote better EDUCATION through effective and sound student-faculty relationship, unity and contact between students.
- To stimulate the interest of MANAGEMENT and LEADERSHIP in matters involving social and/or cultural affairs both locally and nationally.
- To cooperate with the ADMINISTRATION in imposing rules and regulations if the academic institution and/or the nation as a whole.
- To render assistance and services to all members in case of NEEDS, i.e illness, hunger, and wants.

Traditions
The Tau Alpha Omega Frat/Sor is the only Fraternity and Sorority who is Free From Slavery. Because Tau Alpha Omega believes that all of the people is BORN FREE and do not make the pledges render services to the full pledges. The Tau Alpha Omega is truely ended one of the Outstanding Fraternity and Sorority existed because of its Projects in helping the communities within Freeman is Existed all over the Cities in Philippines. Tau Alpha Omega Existed because of its strong foundation in Helping and Serving the communities specially the Local Government.
