The Taouk clan (Arabic: طوق) are a prominent Maronite Christian family based in Bsharri, a town in the mountains of Northern Lebanon.
Notable members include Said Taouk (1902-1982), former member of the National Assembly of Lebanon (elected in 1953), Gibran Taouk (1936-), former member of the National Assembly 1972 - 2005, and Sitrida Geagea (born Sitrida Taouk), member of parliament, politician and wife of Lebanese Forces (LF) leader Samir Geagea.
The Taouk clan has grown from a few hundred members in the early 1920's to thousands of members spread throughout the world, especially Brazil and Australia. (Ghazi Geagea, "The Modern History of Bsharri", Thesis, Lebanese University, 1990).
