Tandef

Think & Act for National Defense (TANDEF) is a Semi-Autonomous Agency (BSO) in the body of the Association Alumni (Ikastara), established by a number of observers from the defense problem alumni SMA Taruna Nusantara - Jakarta, and inaugurated as a public entity on 20-08-2008. Membership TANDEF basically open to the public, both from the military and civilian, from the Taruna Nusantara Senior High School alumni or not. TANDEF open to all contributing components of the nation.

TANDEF have two (2) strategic goals, namely:

1. Through the publication of incentive, it is expected that awareness of Ikastara in particular and the Indonesian people in general defense against the actual & factual can be improved -> realize the condition of "awake Defense" (Defense Awareness).
2. BSO make this as powerful tool that is capable of stimulating the body so that the legislative and executive policy menelorkan aligned to increase defense capabilities so that the country reaches a certain extent that has a power penggetar strategic (strategic deterrent force) to the right and the right target.

TANDEF activities are as follows:

1. Periodic discussion AbOUT 6 months with the persons from various disciplines related to defense issues.
2. In the online discussion forum or mailing list continuously & progressive.
3. Encourage its members to actively write and perform activities in a variety of opinions, the publication media.
4. Participate actively in the discussions held by related institutions to expand the external network & insight.
