Supernova Entertainment Inc.
Supernova is a Canadian company that has organized rock concerts in many Canadian and some American cities since 1992. Their forté is organizing "battle of the bands" shows, where anywhere from 8 to 30 local bands sell tickets and play a short set at a local venue. The top few bands, as decided by judges (according to Supernova), often win hours at a recording studio, and can move on to a next round of the battle.
A broad range of genres can be heard at Supernova events, however, you will most commonly hear heavier styles such as Screamo, Punk, Metal or Rock.
Toronto and Surrounding Area
Supernova has a large base in Toronto. They frequently organize concerts in venues such as the famous El Mocambo, the Reverb and the Big Bop.
