Summit Behavioral Healthcare (Summit BHC) is a Brentwood, Tennessee–based behavioral health services company that owns and operates addiction treatment centers and Acute Psychiatric Hospitals throughout the United States.

Background

Originating in 2012, the company was founded by Trey Carter, former CEO of Acadia Healthcare. In March 2015, Chicago, Illinois–based investment firm Flexpoint Ford provided Round 1 funding to launch Summit BHC's growth plan.

Headquartered in Franklin, TN, Summit BHC was established to develop and operate a network of leading behavioral and mental health centers throughout the country. Summit BHC’s primary focus is on the provision of psychiatric services and substance use disorder treatment within a flexible and dynamic continuum of care. Treatment facilities specialize in helping adults, adolescents, and families suffering from mental health challenges and addiction while offering a solution to the stressors that drive these issues, providing a path to change and ensuring ongoing support for a restored life.
