Sumaya el deeb

Sumaya Abdul Aziz Eddeeb سمية عبد العزيز الديب is a young Egyptian girl who is much popular for her extraordinarily beautiful voice. She attracted the lime lights when the first video of her reciting the Quran was unleashed on YouTube which was outstanding.

She is from the town of Benha between Cairo and Tanta in Egypt. She is the eldest daughter in a practicing Muslim family known for their intensive concentration on learning the Quran. She memorized the Quran when she was 6 under the supervision of Sheikh Ahmed Ashraf and she recites the ten 'Qira'at'- the 10 recognised schools of qira'at - taught by her teacher Ahmad Mustafa Kamal.

Honors and awards

She holds the authority in the Art of reciting the Quran - Tajwid - awarded from the Institute of 'Qira'at' of the Holy Quran at Benha, Egypt. The Holy Quran College of the University of Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences at Omdurman, in the Khartoum State of Sudan honored her by awarding a shield.

Family

Her two brothers, Abdul Aziz Eddeeb and Muhammad Eddeeb hold the authority in reciting the ten 'Qira'at' as well as her younger sister Fatima memorizes the Quran based on the narration of the transmitter Hafs from the reader ‘Aasim al-Kufi.
