Subramanyam Bhadriraju

Biography

Subramanyam Venkata Bhadriraju was born on November 5, 1958 in Visakhapatnam, Andra Pradesh, India. He grew up with much hatred toward bugs and soon found out that he could research his own fear. When he was 17 he made a trip with his parents to the United States and finished high school in California. He went back to India and returned later to get a college degree and Ph.D. He began as an assistant Professor. He is now a professor whose contributions are very significant to the field of agriculture.

Accomplishments

Bhadriraju Subramanyam (Ph.D.) is an accomplished professor at Kansas State University (Manhattan, Kansas) whose work has been published worldwide. In 2004, he received a Stratospheric OZONE Protection Award on his research on pesticides and chemicals applied to crops.

Work

Dr. Bhadriraju Subramanyam conducts research on insects like rice weevil and Indian meal moths. The purpose of observing these insects is to protect grain and grain-based foods from insect damage.
