Stuti Parivaar

Stuti Parivaar is one of the largest Cultural Communities which have significant socio-cultural influence over the South Gangetic Plains in India. Having thousands of members from various aesthetic domains and corners of Eastern India, this Organization is now one of the leading Production Houses in West Bengal. Stuti Parivaar is an unbiased, multi-faith organization which has a diverse range of nine specialized sectors having the wide spectrum of research, creation & performances. This Organization is committed to explore, improvise and expand the Cultural Classes and Styles of India and share it with the world.

Background

The Idea was first derived by a Group of Musicians from late 70s of West Bengal who were culturing Social Music and performing Mass Songs throughout the Country. Many Bands and “Orchestrated Choir Groups” from western Countries inspired them to cultivate and spread that particular stream of Music in India. They started experimenting with New Forms of Music, Fusions and Regional Styles to enrich that form of Music and began to invite and screen peoples from various genres to gather for making a Common Platform to research, promote and encourage that form of Music. Also the Group was highly influenced and inspired by the other Indian Musical Maestros of that Golden Era like Salil Chowdhury, Hemanga Biswas, and Satyajit Ray etc. and also propagated their Styles and Genres among the Audiences who were interested. Though the Group was not Politically Driven by any Particular idealism of Philosophy, still, their every composition used to address Social Issues and speak about the Stories of Common People.

Rising of the Organization

In the Year of 1984, Mrs. Kaberi Bhaumik who was a Musical Scholar from Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) and doing her PHD Program on the Musical Influences on Tribes and Folklores of Rarh Bangla took the initiative to reunite all Group members and founded an State Level Organization for Musical Researches and Performances; but slightly shifted from the previous Idea of practicing / performing only Social Music by the Members. She introduced a broader way of thinking on Musicology and established a Multi-Lingual Institute for Music and Culture named “Swar Sudha”. Her husband Mr. Subroto Bhaumik who was an eminent Engineer, Academician, Poet and a Political Thinker arranged Funds and Infrastructures to make the Dream true. “Swar Sudha” innovated a unique Style of Musical Togetherness and Practices by the Students / Members and excelled rapidly on the National Level. From 1984 to 2001 “Swar Sudha” achieved many Rewards / Awards and performed everywhere throughout the Country.

  • "Sanko" - The First Reformation, 2004

After 2001 “Swar Sudha” officially renamed as “Sanko” but the Concept of Working remained same. After commencement of “Sanko”, the Organization emerged more dynamically and incorporated many Art Forms within its Main Stream of Activity. In 2009 “Sanko” launched a “Society for Filmmaking” which was basically a Forum for “Film Thinkers”, became very popular among people. This forum subsequently produced few Visual Projects like Musical Videos and Short Films by Students and released commercially. In the Year 2010 “Sanko” achieved the affiliation under “Bangiya Sangeet Parishad” for opening “Musical Academy” and honoured with the Certificate of Excellence.

Before 2012, “Sanko” had to depend on external / third party “Technical Infrastructure” for Musical / Visual Post Production which was very inconvenient and expensive for rapid and free Production on a Non-Commercial basis. So, in 2012, the Authority of “Sanko” decided to own an “Audio-Visual In-House Studio” which finally inaugurated after 1 Year in 2013. With this expansion of Infrastructure, “Sanko” stepped up a massive significant level and experienced the zenith of success since its Foundation.

  • "Stuti Parivaar" and "Stuti Art & Entertainment" - The Second Reformation, 2014

In 2014, “Sanko” synthesised into two Production Houses as “Stuti Art & Entertainment” and “Stuti Parivaar” under the same Board of Authority to cater Commercial and Non-Commercial Services respectively. Now, Stuti Art & Entertainment is a Commercial Organization with facilities to produce Music, Films and other Publications where “Stuti Parivaar” is a Non-Commercial House for research, experiment, improvisation on various Art Forms ranging from Music, Choreography, Painting and Craft Works, Film-making, Drama, Digital Arts, Cinematography, Editing, Animation, Literature etc.
