Stranger with My Face (2009 film)

Stranger With My Face is a Canadian horror film; made for television, directed by Jeff Renfroe, and starring Alexz Johnson, Catherine Hicks and Emily Hirst. It is based on the book of the same name, written by Lois Duncan. The film premiered on August 29, 2009 on the Lifetime Movie Network.

Synopsis

After the shocking and Untimely jump off of a cliff Shelley Stratton (Catherine Hicks) moves her daughters Alexis (Emily Hirst) and Laurie (Alexz Johnson), to their remote summer house in hopes of giving her family a fresh start. The family's delicate state begins to unravel when Laurie unearths the dark past, discovering a twin sister she never knew she had.

The story is a favorite of author Lois Duncan's, as it explores astral projection. She herself has experienced the phenomenon, though not until after writing the story.
