Reception
A year after converting to Islam, he released Stories From the Black Book, an album that bristled with split-second rhymes and a larger Sense of Purpose. Faith (he's affiliated with the Nation of Islam) and discipline thread through his music to the present.
Rago Magazine (page 55): This album definitely has that early 'Rap-A-Lot' type vibe to it in the production and the song structures, and the tracks are really well-delivered and still sound as fresh now as they did back then.
