Steven Dell
Steven J. Dell (born November 23, 1962, in Buffalo, New York) is an American ophthalmologist and the medical director of Dell Laser Consultants .
Biography
Dr. Dell is an award winning lecturer, textbook author, editor and researcher. Dr. Dell is a Board Certified member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is the inventor of the Dell Astigmatism Marker™, the Dell Fixation Ring™, the Dell PlumeSafe Ophthalmic Evacuation System™ and the Dell PlumeSafe Handpiece™. Dr. Dell holds a faculty position as Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology at Tulane University in New Orleans, and is Co-Director of Refractive and Corneal Surgery at Texan Eye Care in Austin, Texas.
Publications
Dr. Dell is widely known as a leading author and lecturer in the field of refractive surgery. In 2008 he co-authored the top selling ophthalmology text book in the United States, Mastering Refractive IOLs.
He currently serves as an editor for Cataract and Refractive Surgery Todayand Ocular Surgery News.
Research
Dr. Dell's research for the F.D.A. has helped bring new laser treatment approvals to the U.S.
His research portfolio includes clinical, surgical and pharmaceutical work.
