Stephen Copeland

Stephen Copeland is an accomplished sports writer, recognized nationally for his features and columns in Sports Spectrum magazine. He is a co-author for notable books on sports and faith, including Finally Free by NFL quarterback Michael Vick and The Jersey Effect by former NFL punter Hunter Smith.

Copeland, who graduated from Grace College (Winona Lake, Indiana) in 2011, was named the inaugural Grace College Young Alumni of the Year in October 2014 for his contributions to society after graduation.

For Sports Spectrum, Copeland has published features on such notable athletes as Stephen Curry, Blake Griffin, Brad Stevens and even the band Switchfoot. Two other books Copeland has co-authored are due for release in 2015, including a parenting book by Steve and Lori Zeller (parents of Tyler, Luke and Cody Zeller) and a redemption book by former Baylor University men's basketball coach Dave Bliss.

During his time at Grace, Copeland won a number of national writing awards from the NAIA-SIDA organization, including a second and third-place finish in the Dr. W. Jack Bell Writing Contest in 2011 and a second-place finish in the same contest in 2010.
