Statler & Waldorf (magazine)
Statler & Waldorf is a student-run magazine at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Founded in 2001, the magazine published its first issue in The Spring term of 2002 and currently publishes every two weeks while classes are in session. It is named for the Muppet Show characters Statler and Waldorf.
The magazine has five sections: News Analysis, Editorial/Opinion, Culture, Humor, and Selections. Each section has an editor who is elected by a quorum of staff members, as well as a Managing Editor, a Copy & Composing Editor, a Photography Editor, and a Web Editor.
Statler & Waldorf is named so in honor of the namesake Muppets' penchant for heckling. It has lived up to its name by Providing a more liberal outlet than RPI's other publication, The Polytechnic.
