St. Andrew Lutheran
St. Andrew Lutheran is a Lutheran church with campuses in both Middleton and Waunakee. St. Andrew is a multi-site ministry reaching out, serving its communities and nurturing faith through both campuses. It is considered one church with one vision, one plan, one staff and one leadership but meets in two locations. The congregation is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The campus at Middleton is also home to Westside Christian School, a ministry which features Christian education for children in pre-school through eighth grade. The school is open to the public, regardless of church membership.
The two campuses of St. Andrew offer two distinct styles of worship. The Middleton location features a blended style of worship with music from many eras and genres, while still following a structured sequence taken from the earliest years of Christianity. The Waunakee location features a more laid-back structure. Each week the sermon is videotaped at an early Sunday service in Middleton and then broadcast on large screens later in the morning at Waunakee. After the sermon concludes, Waunakee parishioners talk AbOUT it in small groups, and then a leader brings them back together for a brief discussion. Each campus relies on the Word of God as the source of its teaching.
Opportunities for Bible study outside of the worship service are available at both locations. Several studies are held during the week at the Middleton campus. Each Sunday there are many Bible study options available during the Education Hour for both children and adults. At the Waunakee campus Bible study takes place before the service on Sunday morning.
St. Andrew offers several ways to access past worship services through its website. Archived services are available in audio, video, and text formats. Podcasts of St. Andrew sermons are also available through subscription services via the iTunes Music Store. The website also features a link where one may request a specific prayer be made during the worship service.
