The St. Ambrose University College for Professional Studies serves the local and regional business communities through a variety of educational and professional development services. The College for Professional Studies is one of the four colleges of St. Ambrose University and is comprised of the ACCEL (Adult College Curriculum for Education and Leadership) Program, Master of Organizational Leadership Program, Master of Education in Teaching, Professional Development Center, Insurance Continuing Education (ICE) Program and conference center facilities. St. Ambrose University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In its review in 2007, the Association recommended a 10-year approval for St. Ambrose.

ACCEL Program

The Adult College Curriculum for Education and Leadership (ACCEL) Program enables adult students to grow intellectually and professionally while promoting lifelong learning for the enrichment of their own life as well as the lives of others. ACCEL allows students to complete their bachelor’s degree faster by taking 5-week and 8-week courses meeting weekends or weeknights. ACCEL’s unique, discussion-driven, adult learning environment develops relevant business and communication skills that are directly applicable to the workplace. ACCEL offers six bachelor’s degrees especially suited to the career goals of working adults.

Whether you are a recent graduate of an associates degree program looking to continue on and complete your degree or an experienced professional looking to progress further on your career path, the ACCEL Program can help you meet your goals and complete your degree. Graduate Programs

The College for Professional Studies administers two of the fourteen graduate programs at St. Ambrose: Master of Organizational Leadership and Master of Education in Teaching.

Professional Development Center

The Professional Development Center provides customized training and consulting solutions to a diverse clientèle. Many top companies in the Quad Cities use our services to maximize the potential of their employees through a variety of development tools and assessments.

A professional development staff member can meet with clients to conduct a needs assessment and create a customized program or clients can select from our various training topics.

Insurance Continuing Education

The College for Professional Studies is a leading provider of Insurance Continuing Education in the state of Iowa. We are a full service provider offering insurance education via classroom (public or on-site) and self-study. Our programs can be customized to meet your organization's specific needs.

In addition to servicing the insurance agents of Iowa, we also provide on-site classes and self-studies to agents throughout the Midwest.

Conference Center Facilities

The College for Professional Studies provides a state-of-the-art learning environment as an alternative to traditional off-site meeting facilities. The College for Professional Studies is available for rental from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday for training seminars, conferences, business meetings, presentations, and continuing education programs. Meeting rooms can be arranged to accommodate your group's unique needs.
