1. Founders
Springfield Public School & College was founded in 1984, after a teaching couple decided that an endeavor should be made to enhance the quality of education provided to children belonging to all spheres of life. The school was primarily opened in a single building of 3 canals but with the passage of time it has grown into a full fledge school covering an area of roughly 30 canals in different parts of Pakistan. The foundation of what is today a prestigious institution and the source of a sense of pride for thousands of students was laid by Mrs. and Mr. Azhar Waheed in 1984.

Mrs. Yawar Azhar was like a torch of knowledge going through the darkness of the renaissance. Enlightening her pupils was not only a social obligation she took upon herself, it was her dedication to do something for her country and to give something to the people she belonged to. She decided to dedicate her life to contribute to the up-bringing of the children that will be our future. And it can be said without the slightest trace of a doubt that she did so without hesitation. On the 7th of June 2005 she departed for the heavens when she came to the school and suffered from brain hemorrhage. Now, she is gone, but her hopes live on within the school, the children and the duty she gave her life fulfilling.
2. The School In the course of its administration, the school follows well-defined, definite and objective oriented policies. It has a vivid and unambiguous fee structure for the different phases of schooling which has been chalked out very deliberately. The school maintains a very strict policy of adherence to its timings during the winter as well as the summer part of the year. This firmness towards punctuality advocates to its students the importance of time in their lives and more so in the life of the institute. The dress code of the school is designed to bring forth amongst children the essence of uniformity, equality and neutrality. The school lays a lot of emphasis on delivering quality education. Academic dint of a student maps the road to success and confidence. The academic domain of the school is handled by the principal, but authorities are also delegated to the heads of all branches to monitor the imparting of quality education. We also believe that the children should be given maximum opportunities to play sports because the physical aspect of the routine inculcates perseverance, sportsmanship and endurance in children. Alongside the scheming routine that children follow in the school, competitions and contests are held to induce in them as a sense of competition. These contests include inter-school debates, quiz competitions, annual sports day, Literary and dramatic strife, Science exhibitions and so on.
3. Aim & Objectives The aim of the School is to pursue excellence in education by providing an environment conducive to teaching and learning. It aims at rigorous, focused and objective oriented learning of teachers and students which they may carry forward in their lives on their way to excellence. At the moment, Pakistan is on the verge of a major breakthrough and needs people, whose excellent qualities show a beacon to the nation and lead it towards excellence. The school aims at producing such personnel by setting up a strong base. It strives to produce students in whom the concept of excellence is unsegregable from a commitment to the national IDeaS. Core values Merit: The school maintains a value of meritorious selection of students and faculty by a thorough process void of any bias. Such values are instilled in students too so that when they leave the school, their lives are directed by choices and dictated by merit not by prejudice. Integrity: Integrity, veracity, honour and truth are the flags that the school has upheld for the last 30 years. These are the batons that the establishment hands over to its students as they prepare to launch into the world. The school aims not only to help students to achieve par excellence but also to make them better people. Diversity: The school does not believe in education for a selected cadre but insists in education for all. This concept introduces diversity and variety of experience for both students and the faculty. Excellence: Excellence is the summit the school helps its children to achieve. For the last 30 years the school has maintained a reputation of excellence in the overall development of the children.
4. The Philosophy Students are expected to possess a lust for excellence while displaying high standards of humanistic and moral qualities, at the same time. The educational philosophy of the school lays emphasis on the training of mind rather than the old age methodology of stuffing the mind with mere facts and figures. Endeavours are made to expand the scientific attitude of the students rather than making them walk on the roads that have been well trodden, well searched and well explored, so that may in the future bear new ideas and innovate in different spheres of life. Guided by such convictions, the School educates its students by confronting them with real-life problems, and inculcating in them a problem-solving approach. They are encouraged to employ their minds, to imagine, to work vigorously and to cultivate leadership qualities. Regularity, punctuality and conformity to schedules and deadlines are axiom for the staff and students. This exactness among Springfield Public School & College students is a commitment that forms the cornerstone of Springfield Public School & College’s philosophy. The initial induction of students through a methodical, merit-based admission procedure, their subsequent training in a stringent academic environment and ultimate on-time completion of education has now become a routine that may be termed as Springfield Public School & College way of life.
5. Principles Merit based approach: Springfield Public School & College adheres to merit for the selection of student, faculty and decision making. This applies to all aspects of the operations, and no biases are taken. Value Addition: Activities and academics are structured in such a way that every activity enhances student learning and individual development. All activities are thus designed with definite learning objectives. Hard work: Sustained hard work is the only way that leads to success and excellence. Springfield Public School & College academic programs help to develop the stamina and diligence essential for success in the world that the children face once they leave the cradle of the school. Intellectual Rigour: The life offered at Springfield Public School & College requires not only the capacity to work hard, but also the ability to think analytically and to solve problems. The minds of the children are well exercised so that in the competitive world they face, they introduce new ideas, and not just follow the monotony of concepts. Character Building: Springfield considers character building to be an integral aspect of our learning process, as learning without personal integrity will be of little value to an individual and society.
6. School Automation Since 2011, the school has been shifted to a branchless model using sourceWiN, the state of the art educational ERP. This ERP, sourceWiN, has emerged as an outstanding and award winning school management ERP in the market. The school had an active participation in the development of sourceWiN.
7. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) As school recognizes its social responsibilities toward the society and the country at large, the school regularly participates and contributes in various charities and holds fund raising activities amongst students. Yearly, on regular basis, the school, teachers and students donate to various individuals and institutions to keep this a part of normal day to day living.
8. Celebrating 30 years of Education Time has proved that it is a nation’s excellence in the field of academics that holds the key to success in today’s world. It is, thus, imperative for us to progress and excel in this area of vital importance. This demands a vibrant educational system, fully capable of meeting the demands of our time. This is the idea that led to the establishment of Springfield Public School & College. The school is a manifestation of the enormous altruism and concern for collective welfare. It is a privately funded school committed to bringing the quality of education at par with that of the advance countries. Three decade is a long period of time and its completion itself is a proof of its high standards. No institution can survive for this long if its quality is not maintained. Since three decades hundreds of students completed their matriculation and O levels. It has groomed and nurtured students giving them the gift of values, morals and quality education. It has given them confidence and polished them to be better citizens. In addition, a huge number of teachers also got trained and polished and many were discovery in themselves. 30 years was a long journey which consists of many experiences, many lessons taught and immense hard work. We hope and are constantly striving for this beautiful journey to continue.
