SplitApple

SplitApple is an iOS game developed by french game developement studio MKO Games, released on April 15, 2011.

SplitApple is an easy to pick-up archery game on iOS. It runs on iPhone 3GS and later and iPad 1st generation and later.

AbOUT the game

SplitApple is controlled with one finger to draw your bow and tilting the device to aim. Shots have to deal with both distance and wind.

Game modes

The game features 4 different game modes:

• Challenge

  Do your best score in 5 rounds of 3 arrows on a static increasingly distant target.

• Time Trial

  Perform the best possible score in a minute only.

• Survival

  Start with 10 arrows. Get extra arrows with good shots on target and apples.

• Practice

  Improve your skills on the training targets by adjusting the distance and the wind.

Game center

SplitApple integrates Apple's Game Center statistics for leader-boards and achievements. In version 1.1, there are 25 achievements to unlock.

Future

SplitApple's 1.2 version is currently in development. It will add:

• Challenge mode with more rounds
• Survival mode difficulty curved improved
• Moving targets
• Moving targets with blockers
• More achievements
• Left-handed interface

Reviews

The game has received highly positive reviews. Many reviewers praised the game's high quality graphics. Allemeinapps.de even talked about "world-class 3D graphics with a beautifully hand-painted scenery" .

Many reviewers also noted that the game features simple arcade controls, a "very solid core mechanic" that "reproduces the feel of real archery" and a smooth learning curve with a game that is "easy to play but quite difficult to master".
