Specialized Pitch Pro

The Specialized Pitch Pro was designed for mountain bikers who couldn't afford the Specialized Enduro mountain bike. The Pitch Pro offers the same geometry as the Enduro, but at a smaller cost. This is possible by producing the frame from cheaper materials and by using cheaper components on the bike.

Frame
The frame is made from Specialized M4 aluminum. It consists of a double ORE downtube, which has got the same characteristic curves of the Enduro. The top tube is lower then on a standard Four-bar mountain bike, which gives it a lower stand over height. As mentioned earlier the frame has got a typical four-bar suspension design and in this case offers 150mm of rear travel.

Components
The 2008 Pitch Pro will ship with these components:
* Pike 351 suspension fork with 140mm of travel, U-turn travel adjustability and Maxle 20mm axle.
* Fox RP2 rear shock with Pro-pedal
* Avid Juicy Three Hydraulic brake system with 203/180mm clean sweep rotors
* SRAM X-9 Rear dérailleur
* Shimano M580 LX, E type front dérailleur
* Shimano M532 Crank
* DT Swiss wheels

Usage
The intended use of the Pitch Pro will be all-mountain, aggressive XC and light downhill.
