Son of Kashmir: Burhan is an upcoming Pakistani 3D animated feature film. It was written and directed by Rana Abrar and produced by WBJ Media. The film is based on the Kashmir insurgency.
Synopsis
The movie is based on a true story about a young Kashmiri terrorist, Burhan Wani, who fought against Indian forces before he was killed in combat. He became a member of the Kashmiri separatist movement at a young age. He went on to become the commander of
Pakistani terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen, which has been designated as a terrorist group by the European Union and the United States. The group is active in the state of Jammu and Kashmir since 1989. On 8 July 2016, Burhan Wani and two other militants were killed during an encounter with the Indian Armed Forces after information about his location was divulged by military intelligence.
