Soap-dodger

A 'soap-dodger' is British slang for someone who avoids soap, ie. doesn't wash. In the eighties and nineties the expression was used as a pejorative term against new age travellers. It also appears in the novels of Irvine Welsh as a slur against Glaswegians.

'Soap-dodger' is also used as a slang term in Australia regarding English back-packers.
