SNOWBUSH microelectronics
SNOWBUSH microelectronics is one of the worlds largest dedicated suppliers of analog integrated circuit design services and customized silicon intellectual property. SNOWBUSH specializes in SerDes for standards such as SATA, PCIe, GPON, SAS, Fibre Channel and XAUI, analog-to-digital converters for 802.11n and MIMO, and high performance analog front ends for wired and wireless commnication systems including Homeplug.
SNOWBUSH was founded by University of Toronto professors David Johns and Ken Martin and incorporated in Toronto, Ontario in December, 1998. The name SNOWBUSH was suggested by David's second born son, Tim Johns.
In October 2007, Snowbush was acquired by Gennum Corporation. Gennum Corporation (TSX: GND) designs innovative semiconductor solutions and intellectual property (IP) cores for the world’s most advanced consumer connectivity, enterprise, video broadcast and data communications products.
