Skinner Louis
Skinner Louis (born 18 October 1983) is an Haitian American lawyer, businessman, and philanthropist.
Early life and education
Skinner Louis was born in Boynton Beach, Florida. He is of Haitian descent and resides in Orlando, Florida.
In 2002, He received a state of Florida Bright Futures Scholarship and in 2006 graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies.
Skinner Louis attended Florida A&M University where he earned a College of Law Juris Doctorate in 2009. He became the first FAMU College of Law alumnus to be voted as an Executive Board Member of the Orange County Bar Young Lawyers’ Section (“OCBA YLS”) in 2012 and earned an Executive Master of Tax (M.T.X) degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2015.
Career
From January 2009 to May 2009, Skinner Louis served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Frederick J. Lauten in the Business Litigation Division for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
On April 16, 2010, He started practicing his profession as a lawyer in the state of Florida.
The same year, he founded an insurance and business dispute firm called “The Louis Law Firm” which is based in Florida.
Skinner Louis is a partner of ”Admiral Cigar Club and Lounge” and founder of Affluent 67 club at Admiral Cigar Club. He is also one of the main sponsors of “GRIOT FEST” a festival that celebrates and promotes the Haitian peoples and cultural heritage through Food & Music.
On 18 October 2015, Skinner Louis and his legal team represented the Jones family in a wrongful death suit of their child Corey Jones.
In 2020, He contributed to a food distribution drive that has fed many families and individuals in the Pine Hills community since it started.
