Silver Oaks School, Hyderabad, was established in April 2002 as an English medium co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, India. Silver Oaks The School of Hyderabad has been weaving creative and constructive learning environment for the last ten years. The 4 acres campus endowed with green meadows and appropriate infrastructure enhance the learning ambience. On successful completion of 10 years the School launched its official video on the eve of annual opera on 17 December'2011.

School campus

The school has its main campus in Hyderabad and has launched another branch in Bangalore from academic session 2013-14. The Junior School has students from Pre Primary to Grade 6, Which is categorized as Pre Primary wing for PP1 & PP2, Primary wing for Grades 1 to 3 and Junior wing for Grades 4 to 6.All three are located in PYP block of School campus. The Senior school is for students from Grades 7th to 12th and is located in the Leadership block of the same campus.

Facilities

Classroom

Classrooms are well spaced with limited strength to facilitate the open learning.All classrooms from Grade PP1 to 12 are smart classes.Each room has a widescreen computer and an audio system connected with highspeed internet.

Library

The school has library facility and all the students have access to it during the school hours. This is used as a learning resource centre which supports Reading policy of the school.

Computer center

There are computer labs and all computers are interconnected with LAN and WLAN with latest genuine software installed with high speed internet. Computer education is provided from Class 1 onwards.All Students of Grades I to XII are open to access the facility.

Laboratories and club

The school laboratories include Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Biology lab, Math lab, Multi purpose hall, Conference hall, Science club, Wistleblowers Club .

Games and Sports

• The campus includes a full-sized playground with football field, cricket pitches for net practices, volleyball courts, basket-ball courts, Lawn Tennis courts and Throw ball.
• Table tennis, Aerobics and carroms are also available as indoor games.
• Both the junior and senior campuses of the school are complete with all the needed facilities in terms of sports.
• The school has also provided the students with a skating rink for budding students interested in roller skating.
• The school has a swimming pool for regular swimming practices.
• NCC, Scout and Guide practices are regular in School.
• Sports Camp : Grade V onwards, a special sports camp is conducted for 15 days in every academic term after school hours for those students who show exemplary skills in Tennis,Skating, Swimming, Dance, Music, Art & Craft,Yoga, Cricket and Basket Ball.

Transport

The school has its own 42 buses. All buses run on specified routes and broadly covers from Kukatpally - Chandanagar.

Clinic

There is a sick room in PYP block of the school. A medical staff attends to sick children and provides first aid in case of an emergency. An annual medical checkup of the students is done in the clinic.

Achievements

• In 2012 Silver Oaks School, Hyderabad emerged as the one of the best performing school of Hyderabad when 26.41% of its students appearing in the CBSE board examination obtained 10 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) in all five subjects.Out of 106 students 28/106 got 10CGPA which means 69...A1 grades 23...A2 grades 14...B1 grades.

• Transformation from an existing State Board School to an International School in 5 years with an accreditation from International Baccalaureate for the PYP program till Grade VI and an affiliation from CBSE till Grade XII.

• Mrs. Seetha Murty, Principal of Silver oaks School was selected as top 5 leaders in the Lead India contest held by Times Of India Hyderabad in October 2007.
