Siladelphia Nicers

The Siladelphia Nicers (founded 2005) are a hockey team in the S.I.L.. The Co-owners are PJ Smith and Scott Sepkowicz. The Nicers also consist of occasionally current minor league Asian superstar Howard Leong, Kevin McCaffery, and prospect Jeffrito "Frito" Domingo. In two seasons, the Nicers have won one Silly Cup.

History

The Nicers were founded by Scott Sepkowicz and PJ Smith in 2005 along with the debut of the S.I.L.. Smith and Sepkowicz were childhood friends and would play hockey at Bum's house. To organize the game, they formed the S.I.L. along with the Nicers and their arch rivals, the Silorado Meaners.

Perhaps the most notorious incident associated with the Nicers is the chaos caused by former Nicers' defenseman Antonio "Sil" Matos. After causing numerous disruptions during the games and holding out, Matos was eventually traded to the Meaners for Jeffrito Domingo and a future first round draft pick (which ended up being rookie Howard Leong). Said Matos in an interview with Comcast Sportsnet of the incident:

"I don't play for anyone but myself. If they're going to want to play without considering my needs then I'm not willing to stay here in [Siladelphia]. It was fun being a Nicer while it lasted, but in my heart I'll always be a Meaner. That's that, now get out of my face. Oh, and get your popcorn ready."

Scott Sepkowicz also held out before the 2007 season, but after a contract raise he returned to the ice.
