Signal Hill Whisky

Signal Hill Whisky is a brand of Canadian Whisky manufactured by Signal Hill Spirits Inc. at the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation distillery called Rock Spirits in Newfoundland, Canada. Signal Hill Whisky is distilled from two types of grains: corn and barley. The corn mash is double distilled through two column stills. A small amount of column distilled barley is also used in the blend. Three different barrels are used to age Signal Hill Whisky: New White Oak casks, Canadian Whisky casks and once-used Bourbon casks. The barrels are used to age the whisky for minimum 3 years, as per the legal regulations of Canadian Whisky production. Signal Hill Whisky is non-chill filtered, and blended with water. The whisky is bottled near the , which inspired its name. Signal Hill Whisky contains 40% alcohol by volume (ABV).
History
The spirit was launched in 2018 and inspired by an ancient Norse symbol that represents the historic past of Signal Hill, one of Canada's iconic landmarks. Signal Hill Whisky is a blend of corn whisky with pot distilled barley whisky, and blended in small batches. The whisky is aged in three different barrels - Canadian Whisky Casks, New White Oak Casks, and Bourbon Casks. Signal Hill Whisky is non-chill filtered, blended with pristine water from Newfoundland, Canada at 40% alc./vol.
The logo of Signal Hill includes the name "signal hill" spelled in morse code, a reflection of the site's history in early radio communications.
