SHOCKLET is an American heavy metal band from New York in USA.

Early Days (1996-1999)

SHOCKLET was formed by Vocalist Johnny Cook and former drummer Harold Prince in 1996. Johnny introduced guitarist Duncan Murphy to Harold. They all became best friends and played together but Harold got kicked out of the band in 1998 due to drugs. Later Bassist Jason Cramp and Drummer David Gray joined the band. in 1999 the band agreed to play a mix of the modern and classic heavy metal with experimental music.

Influences and MusicAL style

SHOCKLET are influenced by Mudvayne, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, Saxon, Cavalera Conspiracy, Sick Of It All, CKY, Motley Crue, Kiss, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Rob Zombie, White Zombie, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Testament, Slayer, Anthrax, System of a Down, Misfits and Godsmack. They are also inspired by Nu-metal and Industrial metal. Also Uses Riffs From Extreme metal and Trash metal. Hardcore Punk and Punk rock was also important to their musical style.
