Shiva makinian

Shiva Makinian ( born 7 July 1981) is an Iranian actress who works in film, television, and theatre. She has appeared in Iranian feature films, including Eczema (2017) and Hot Scent (2018), and played Shari in the seventh season of the television series Paytakht.

Early life and education

Makinian was born in Isfahan, Iran. She studied acting at the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran and later completed postgraduate studies in theatre at Tarbiat Modares University.

Career

Makinian began her acting career in theatre in the late 1990s. Her stage work has included performances in Iranian productions and international theatre festivals. She has performed in productions in English and French, and has taken part in international tours with theatre productions such as Silent House and The Door.

She later worked in cinema, appearing in films including Love and Madness, Eczema, and Hot Scent. In Eczema, directed by Mehran Mahdavian, she played Roya, a woman who attempts to keep aspects of her past hidden from her husband.

In 2025, Makinian appeared in the seventh season of the Iranian television series Paytakht, playing Shahrbanoo Taghipour, known as Shari.
