Shazzie
Shazzie, born January 23 1969 in Yorkshire, UK, is a raw vegan and a prominent figure in raw foodism. Shazzie is a raw food chef and author, having written Shazzie's Detox Delights, Detox Your World, [...] Chocolate (co-authored with David Wolfe) and Evie's Kitchen. Shazzie is also the managing director of Rawcreation Ltd (trading online as Detox Your World) and also runs regular raw food events in the UK .
Shazzie has raised her daughter, Evie, on a raw vegan diet. Evie, who was born in 2004, is also breastfed and unvaccinated. Shazzie and Evie live in Cambridge, UK.
Shazzie recently launched a campaign , aiming to get raw food onto the menus of restaurants and cafes.
Over 100 recipes created by Shazzie were featured in The Complete Book of Raw Food and the story of her raw journey was featured in Living on Live Food by US raw foodist Alissa Cohen. Shazzie also wrote the foreword for Raw Living and Eat Smart Eat Raw (US version),both written by Kate Wood.
In 2007, Shazzie was one of twelve health and living food experts who participated in the Raw Food Summit, providing free worldwide telecalls. Over 12,000 people worldwide signed up for this event.
Shazzie has been featured in the UK media discussing raw food, superfoods, breastfeeding and being an ecstatic being.
In October 2008, Shazzie was invited by Hay House to write a special ebook, Ecstasists Anonymous, as part of Eldon Taylor's Choices & Illusions campaign.
In November 2008, Shazzie was invited to be an expert on the Opposing Views website & took place in a discussion entitled Is Raw Food Good For You?, with Alex Malinsky.
