Shaun Kelly (Irish footballer)

Shaun Kelly is a 19-year-old Irish football player who currently plays with Dundalk. He has also played for Hearts.

Football Career

Shaun Kelly is a defender. He began his career with Hearts as a youth in 2005. He failed to break into the Hearts starting line-up and joined Dundalk in 2009.

Hearts

Kelly signed for Hearts in the summer of 2005. After spending a couple of years with the youth squad, Kelly soon broke into the reserves squad and was a key member for the Hearts reserve team. Kelly played in a few first-team friendlies for the Scottish Premier League side but did not play one competitive game and eventually moved back to Ireland when he signed for Dundalk in 2009.

Dundalk

Kelly signed for League of Ireland Premier Division side Dundalk in January 2009. He turned down offers from Finn Harps and Raith Rovers to sign for newly promoted Dundalk, who were managed by Sean Connor.
