Sharalike

Sharalike is a cloud-based video creation service that produces video from photos, video clips, and music into video slideshows. Sharalike’s technology allows users to store, sort, enhance, create and edit photos and videos all within the application. Sharalike is based in Boston.

Company History

Sharalike was started in 2012 by founders Aymeric Vigneras and Etienne Leroy. Sharalike's software provides image organization and videographic tools instantly to all users across all devices and platforms. Sharalike's SmartSelection and the SmartShow technology has simplified and enabled automated, yet fully editable and customizable, automatic image sorting and enhancement, slideshow creation and animation, videography- and music- in one SaaS model With its built-in file storage, multi-device (computer, mobile, tablet) synchronization, and full integration with many storage services, Sharalike makes private and/or public sharing via social networks available for all users.

Incorporated in August 2012, and with its first functional prototype available in April 2013 and an Alpha version opened to 80 users (Web app, desktop app Mac and Win, iOS native app) in October 2013 along with filing patents that same month for its SmartShow technology. The company completed it's second stage of seed funding and launched it's beta application in January 2014, closely followed by an iOS app in February. Sharalike presented as a Top Innovator in February of 2014 at the Venture Summit West 2014 conference, hosted by youngStartup Ventures. The company has grown to 10 full time employees since it's creation and has reached it's maximum for beta users within the first few weeks of launch.
