Seva Call

Seva Call is a local search engine that connects consumers with local businesses in real time via telephone. It is a product developed by Seva Search Inc., an Internet technology company based in Potomac, Maryland. Consumers access Seva Call through its website or its Android and iPhone apps (soon to be released) and enter various service requests, ranging from computer repair to doctor appointments.

History

Seva Call was founded by Gurpreet Singh, Manpreet Singh, and Amandeep Bakshi. Gurpreet Singh is a veteran entrepreneur, who previously served as Managing Partner in the Information technology consulting firm Geeks On-Site.

Funding

By November 2011, Seva Call reached $1.3 million in outside funding from outside investors. Investments came from a number of prominent investors, successful serial entrepreneurs, and top angel investors from North America, South America, Asia, and Europe. Investors include fortify.vc, Ed Mathias of The Carlyle Group, Timothy Sykes, David Eisner, Jay Virdy, Paul Silber, David Krauskopf, founding members of Blu Venture Investors, and several members from The University of Maryland's Dingman Angels Network.
