Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria School
Seth anand ram jaipuria School is a premier co-educational school in Kanpur, India. The school has more than 30 years of history having started in 1974. It follows the Anglo-Indian system of education.
The Beginning
It was the 13th of September,1966 that marked the beginning a day to be remembered and cherished for years to come. It was on this day that the foundation of the school was laid by Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India. The school became operational in January 1974 with class I and VII having over 400 boys and girls in all. It was formally inaugurated by then President of India Dr. Fakhrukhdin Ali Ahmed in October 26,1974.
The school was started by Late Mangturam Jaipuria. After him Shri Rajaram Jaipuria handled affairs of the school. Mr Joshi was the first Principal of the school. As he was there for a short period, the person who really gave the school its character was the second Principal Mr D Chatterjee. He wasa strict disciplinarian with a passion for providing quality all round education and instilling life changing value systems in each and every student who stepped in.
Aims
The aim of the school is to help children to grow into refined citizens in a traditional Indian environment. This is hoped to be achieved through the development of : -
* Integrated personality through intellectual, moral and physical development
* Qualities to enable children adopt themselves to their environment through a forum of self-expression and group interactions;
* Self confidence and leadership skills through Participation and involvement in extra/co-curricular activities.
* The school aims at helping its students grow up as balanced human beings so that they may play their part in all aspects of life and towards the country's development. The student should develop healthy habits and acquire sporting temperament, growing equally in body, mind and spirit.
Medium of Instruction and Syllabus
Medium of instruction is English and the school provides education to both boys and girls for a 12-year course as under:

Classes VI to IX Middle School
Classes X to XII Senior School
The Syllabus of Inter State Board for Anglo-Indian Education if followed up to class VIII. The school is affiliated to the council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi under the 10+2 pattern.
