Serpentine: The Short Program
Serpentine: The Short Program is a short political thriller film written, produced and directed by Mark Lund. It is the short film version of his feature length script titled Serpentine. The film stars Paul Lussier, Kim Gordon, Denise Marco and Isabella Ramirez. The film had its world premiere at The Strand Theatre on March 6, 2017 in Clinton, MA.
Premise
A mysterious businessman arrives to sponsor a champion figure skater who has been followed by the FBI ever since her mother's disappearance.
Production
Lund, who has a background in figure skating as a magazine publisher and TV analyst, wrote Serpentine after attending the 2016 World Figure Skating Championships in Boston. To develop interest in the feature he produced the first ten pages of the script. Principal photography began on October 30, 2016 and wrapped on November 6, 2016. The short was filmed at Northstar IceSports in Westboro, MA, The Crown Plaza in Natick, MA and a private residence in Sturbridge, MA.
Release
After its world premiere at The Strand Theatre, Serpentine: The Short Program was released on Amazon Prime and the Ice Network on March 7, 2017.
