Sergey Fatkulin

Sergey Rashidovich Fatkulin (; born in 1955) - famous Russian and international violin pedagogue.

Biography

After studying in Moscow Conservatoire Music College and The Moscow State Conservatoire, he continued his studies in the Novosibirsk State Conservatoire in the class of The Famous international violin pedagogue, Zakhar Bron. In the 1980s he worked as Bron's assistant and was teaching those two pupils who were later to become the most accomplished violin performers of their generation, Vadim Repin and Maxim Vengerov. In 1988 Sergey was invited to teach at the Moscow Conservatoire Music College, and together with his wife Maria and their son Savva he moved to Moscow . He soon became very popular with the staff and the students and earned the reputation of the most talented and above all liberal teacher of the institution. In 1991 Sergey finally was invited to teach in Moscow State Conservatory, where he also enjoyed his success. Among his students there were now internationally known violinists Tatiana Samuil, Gleb Dontsov and Vladislav Adelkhanov.

Since 1995 Sergey Fatkulin is teaching at the Music Academy in Madrid. Violinist Carla Marrero is his student there. Sergey is an ACTIVE member of the international music scene and regularly visits his native Russia as a jury member of the music competitions.
