Sekolah Tunas Mekar Indonesia

Sekolah Tunas Mekar Indonesia or Sekolah TMI is an Indonesian National Plus School. This school is a national Plus school in Lampung.Sekolah TMI is including Pre-School, Elementary, and Junior High School.The motto of this school is "Building Excellence Through Education".

Elementary School

Elementary school of Tunas Mekar Indonesia is a bilingual language school. The Elementary School Program is based on an International framework which synthesizes the best research and practice from a range of national systems with the wealth of knowledge and experiences in International Schools to create a dynamic curriculum. The International curriculum is relevant, challenging and engaging for learners in the 6-12 age range. Elementary's extra curricular are:piano, violin, mandarin, sempoa, iqro and bible study.

Junior High School

TMI Junior High Schools is committed to provide a full range of student services to support the school's academic program. Students of JHS receive individual attention and are encouraged to develop their talents and to become independent learners. The JHS teachers work on instructional teams, which are comprised of mathematics, language, science, humanities, and elective activities. The program also includes a constant counseling, which incorporates decision-making, character building and behaviour management. Teachers meet once a week to discuss the implementation of curriculum, to plan unit and weekly planner, to diagnose student ProgresS, and to develop home assignments. Discussion concerning the progress of student achievement, student's discipline and behaviour management are also held during team planning time. Students are exposed to many concepts and useful facts AbOUT the working world. The Junior High Schools Program build on concepts the students learned in Elementary School and help them make decisions about their future. The programs also feature communication skills that are essential to success in the business world. JHS program is based on the framework of international curriculum.

First Graduation

The first graduation was held on June, 16th 2007 at Sahid Hotel, Bandar Lampung. 25 students being graduated.

Students' Council

Students' Council were headed by the JHS' students. The main objective of this council is to make the students become a creative students.At the first time to collect money, the students try to find money by reading, this activity named Book Worm. The members of students' council are every students in TMI. The main members of this council were elected by JHS' students. The main members are: Radiga Tyaditama Mulyono(Head of Students' Council), Gabriella Rachel (Vice head of Students' Council), Maulana Malik Fikri(Secretary of Students' Council), Zahra Rizkia Andini(Treasurer of Students' Council), and Clarissa Evelyn(Event Organizer of Students' Council).
