Seguriño

Seguriño was a Spanish fictional character created by the Xunta de Galicia and Televisión de Galicia to promote and educate children, through television campaigns broadcast during children's hours, in road safety education. Through announcements and songs, broadcast in children's programs such as the Xabarín Club, Seguriño was designed to teach children how to behave safely with pedestrians or to respect traffic signs, in addition to becoming aware of the importance of road safety. Seguriño's first appearance was in 1994.

The campaign was considered a success in Galicia at the state level, so that it was exported to other administrations, such as the Community of Madrid.

The character Seguriño, whose name was intended to convey prudence and responsibility, was a man dressed in a blue coat with four gold buttons, blue slippers and a blue hat. Accompanying Seguriño, children often appeared, to be educated with advice on road safety. Seguriño also got a short film. It is unknown what date, but it was made during the 90s.
