Seaga Manufacturing
Seaga Manufacturing, Inc. is a Freeport, Illinois-based vending machine manufacturer. It has been selling bulk vending and full line vending machines as well as electronic bill changers, mechanical vending equipment, cold merchandisers, and custom vendors since 1987.
History
Seaga began in the vending industry by manufacturing compact mechanical vending machines to meet the growing market demand for economical, fast ROI vending equipment for small locations. Due to Seaga's relative succes in this area, the companies activities expanded to the bulk vending market with a selection of vending machines to sell gumballs and bite-size candies.
Further developments for Seaga in the electronic vending market are compact machines such as the Elite Series, Victory Series and, in 2002, the Space Savers Series. These collections . Available in snack, cold beverage or combo, these models were sold to many different operators and small to medium locations around the world.
Seaga also included a line of glass door refrigerated merchandisers that were created for catering, restaurant and convenience store industries. These beverage and food merchandisers are available in sizes from 2 cubic feet up to 26 cubic feet with plans to add a double door model in 2007.
In 2005 Karna Seaga Industries Ltd. joined the Seaga family of companies. Its main focus lies in serving the Asian and African market.
Seaga UK Ltd, part of the Seaga Manufacturing, Inc. family, was set-up in 2003 to meet the growing demand within the European market. Its offices and warehouse facility is based in Llandudno, North Wales.
The Premium Collection
In 2006, Seaga presented The Premium Collection full line vending equipment.
The first line of equipment on the market to offer LED lighting standard, which Seaga believes this will assist The Operator two-fold; first, it will lower costs because of the long life of the system - up to 50,000 hours. Secondly, the extra lighting will highlight and showcase the products which will increase sales.
The Premium Collection also features the Seaga SmartCard, which is an equipment management magnetic card system run in conjunction with Seaga Smartware Software. This technology focusses on keeping machine maintenance simple for all operators by enabling most of The Seaga Premium Collection features to be changed via PC interface and downloaded to the Seaga Smart Card, which can be used on all Seaga Premium Collection models. Seaga Smartware software works with the Seaga Smart Card for efficient setup tools. All settings are also available from the scroll-down menu on the machine.
Also part of The Premium Collection, the Vigilant Vend Sensor system is the custom developed infared technology installed in the delivery bin to insure the dispensing of the product. When the selection is made, the transaction is complete only if the product breaks the mesh of the infared beam.
Available in 4-wide or 5-wide ambient snack, 4-wide refrigerated food or dual zone and 7-wide refrigerated beverage, The Premium Collection has also been configured to vend CDs, DVDs, swim equipment, laundry items and more.
