Scott Jordan (entrepreneur)
Scott Jordan (born 1964) is an American lawyer-turned-inventor and entrepreneur who founded the clothing company SCOTTEVEST/SeV in 2000 and its wholly-owned subsidiary TEC-Technology Enabled Clothing. He now resides in Ketchum, ID where the company is based.
Education and Early Career
Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University, majoring in Entrepreneurship. He started Images Calendar Line while at OSU, and then went into a family business.
Scott received his Juris Doctor (Summa Cum Laude and Order of the Coif) from Case Western Reserve University College of Law in May 1992 and published a law review article cited by several Federal Appellate Courts. He practiced real estate and corporate law with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, an international law firm with over 600 attorneys, and DLA Piper, a international law firm with nearly 4000 attorneys worldwide.
SCOTTEVEST
Scott's creation of SCOTTEVEST/SeV in 2000 has developed a cult following and is promoted by technologists such as Steve Wozniak, Co-Founder of Apple, Inc.; Leo Laporte, Founder of TWiT ; and David Farber, Distinguished Career Professor of Computer Science and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University & Former Chief Technologist at the FCC .
He has been written AbOUT extensively in connection with SCOTTEVEST/SeV, including several articles in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Entrepreneur Magazine among many other magazines, newspapers and several college textbooks. He has also been featured several times on CNBC's The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Fine Living Network's Radical Sabbatical as well as the Japanese TV show The World's Most Successful People.
In 2008, Scott co-starred in a series of comedic videos with Apple, Inc. Co-founder Steve Wozniak, and appeared on TWiT Live with Leo Laporte to promote a contest related to the videos.
